Professor at Northern Illinois University. He received the Presidential Young Investigator award from the US National Science Foundation. He has 190 publications in journals such as Nature,JACS, and Angew Chem.He is the first or corresponding author in more than 100 of these publications. His research area is in the electronic structures of novel functional materials, modeling and simulation of the functions of these materials using quantum and classical mechanical methods.
